Dr. Greenwell's Consultation services

My mission is to help therapists find their own voice, enhance work-life sustainability, and embrace their unique professional identity.  I provide expert consultation to support fellow therapists for complex cases where theory meets today’s real-world challenges. I bring extensive training in providing consultation for a range of trauma treatments including Cognitive Processing Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, EMDR, Internal Family Systems, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, as well as in approaches like ACT and CBT-Insomnia for addressing the psychological impact of comorbid stress-related physical disease. This range of skills allows me to support your conceptualization and targeting of the root processes that keep clients and therapists feeling stuck.  In my role as a consultant, I have also supported healthcare professionals in coping with major legal stressors (e.g., lawsuits).   Learn more about my background here.

Many of us enter the mental health field with the simple goal of doing good. And yet, sustainably translating our aspirations into practice is incredibly complex. As providers, we face both routine dilemmas (e.g. waitlist management, competing work demands, dual relationships) as well as bigger ones (e.g. intimidating patients, suicide risk, subpoenas, mandated disclosures).  Since 2013, I have worked as an ethics consultant in hospital and outpatient settings, helping individuals and organizations manage both the psychological demands of high-stakes decision-making and to develop values-consistent, workable solutions. I currently serve on the Utah Psychological Association’s Ethics Committee, host regular trainings on applied ethics in psychology, and offer individual consultation.  I am also a Nationally Certified Healthcare Ethics Consultant (HCEC-C) with the American Society of Bioethics and Humanities
