Responsive, one-on-one guidance for approaching consequential life & professional decisions with greater clarity and skill.
Most of us set out with the simple goal of doing good for ourselves and the people around us. And yet, sustainably translating this into practice is incredibly complex (and at times overwhelming). While juggling our routine demands and daily stressors, along the way we also encounter more consequential moments (e.g., major healthcare decisions, professional and personal dilemmas, adverse life events like litigation and lawsuits, or other critical incidents). My confidential consultation services provide support and expertise in an impartial, non-blaming environment with tailored resources to help you translate your moral intuitions into creative ideas.
Since 2013, I have worked as an Ethics Consultant in hospital and outpatient settings, helping individuals and organizations manage the demands of high-stakes decision-making to develop values-consistent, workable solutions.
I am co-chair of the Utah Psychological Association’s Ethics Committee, was appointed to the State Licensing Board (2022-2024), host regular trainings on applied ethics, and provide brief, individual consultation services for a range of individuals navigating personal and professional dilemmas. I am a Nationally Certified Healthcare Ethics Consultant (HEC-C) by the American Society of Bioethics & Humanities. Learn more here.
*UPA members seeking consultation can contact utahpsych@gmail.com to arrange for a complimentary consult with me or another committee member.
I also provide expert consultation to support fellow therapists for complex cases and private practice management where theory and training meet today’s real-world challenges.
As the owner of small and large group practices, I’ve provided consultation for range of clinical and business operations issues. I have sought intensive training in a range of trauma treatments including Cognitive Processing Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, EMDR, Internal Family Systems, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, as well as other approaches like ACT and CBT-Insomnia for addressing the psychological impact of co-morbid stress-related physical disease. This breadth allows me to support an integrated conceptualization that targets the core processes keeping clients and therapists feeling stuck.
My mission is to help therapists hone their therapeutic intuition, enhance work-life sustainability, and foster a professional identity unique to their goals. Learn more about my background here: View My Full Credentials
