Individual Therapy
Collaborative and Specialized Interventions that actively address your core concerns.
Collaborative and Specialized Interventions that actively address your core concerns.
We specialize in providing tailored, deliberate interventions that target root causes for more meaningful growth. Our individual work begins with a free consult with your prospective clinician that helps ensure fit and appropriate expertise.
The next step is an in-depth intake assessment to comprehensively understand your history and present situation, as well as priorities for the future. We factor in health, relationships, sociocultural history, cognitive and emotional patterns, spiritual beliefs, situational factors, goals, and any other relevant areas.
After the intake, we collaboratively build your evidence-based treatment plan, developing clear, actionable goals and selecting an intentional method for reaching them. Learn more about the specific treatments we offer here. Along the way we will work to ensure that you understand the treatment rationale and are developing the capacity to apply your new learning independently (so that we don’t lapse into problem of the week, perpetual counseling).
As treatment progresses, we also periodically review progress and update our plan as needed.

Every new client relationship begins with a free 15-minute consultation with your prospective psychologist. This conversation helps us both determine whether we’re the right fit for your goals — and if we’re not, we’ll offer referral options that may serve you better. You can schedule your free consultation online or call (385) 339-0022.
We begin with an in-depth intake assessment to understand your history, current situation, and priorities. We look at the whole picture — your health, relationships, cognitive and emotional patterns, cultural and spiritual context, and goals. From there, we collaboratively build an evidence-based treatment plan with clear, actionable goals and an intentional method for reaching them.
Most clients work with us for three to twelve months, though shorter and longer timeframes may be appropriate depending on your goals. We track outcomes throughout treatment and review progress together regularly, so you always know where you stand. Our aim is to help you build skills you can apply independently — not to keep you in open-ended, problem-of-the-week counseling.
We are an out-of-network, self-pay practice, which allows us to provide the depth and type of care consistent with our mission. Each month we provide a detailed invoice (a “superbill”) you can submit to your insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Many PPO plans reimburse a meaningful portion of session costs — we recommend calling your insurer to ask about your out-of-network mental health benefits.
A typical 45-minute session is $225, and the initial intake assessment report is $320. Group and class options are typically $65 per hour. We also reserve a limited number of reduced-fee and pro-bono spots for clients who demonstrate financial need — please ask during your consultation.
Both. We see clients in person at our Salt Lake City office (124 S 400 E #200) and via secure telehealth. You can switch an in-person appointment to telehealth at any time if needed.
Yes — we offer bilingual services in English and Spanish. / Sí — ofrecemos servicios bilingües en inglés y español.
We use evidence-based treatments matched to your specific goals, including Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Radically Open DBT (RO-DBT) for overcontrol and perfectionism, trauma processing treatments (EMDR, IFS, PE, and CPT), CBT for serious illness and chronic pain, and Meaning-Centered Psychotherapy. Your treatment plan will explain the rationale for the approach we choose together.
Yes. We prioritize the privacy and confidentiality of every client as an essential part of our working relationship, and we maintain secure, HIPAA-compliant systems. We’ll review the specific details and limits of confidentiality with you at intake so you know exactly what to expect.
That’s exactly what the free consultation is for. If after talking we believe another provider would better serve your goals, we’ll say so directly and provide referral options. Finding the right fit matters more to us than filling our calendar.
